Champions to be Crowned This Weekend at the ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour

With the first quarter of the North American karting season almost complete, the end of the 25th Annual ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour is on the horizon as champions will be crowned this coming weekend. Set to take on the Orlando Kart Center (OKC) for a busy series finale, ROKKERs will compete on the racy facility in central Florida with ROK Vegas and ROK Superfinal invites and packages on the line.

With 33% more points available in round two than in the opening round, an additional 33% will be added to the kitty this weekend ensuring that all ten class championships will go down to the wire in Orlando. With qualifying and heat one taking place on Friday, Saturday will feature heats two, three, and the prefinal before main events roll off the grid Sunday to crown champions.

“It is exciting to see the end of the first Florida Winter Tour coming this weekend from this position,” explained Director of Operations Mike Burrell. “I have attended the series as both a competitor and a mechanic, but to see the hard work that happens behind the scenes is incredible, and I can’t thank the entire ROK Cup USA staff enough for their continued support. Also, thank you to our 2023 Florida Winter Tour sponsors: NASH Motorsportz, Orsolon Racing, PSL Karting and Rolison Performance Group.”

Heading into the final round, the current championship leaders are:
ROK Micro – Maxwell Macha
ROK Mini – Kai Johnson
ROK Junior – Ernesto Rivera
ROK Senior – Matheus Morgatto
ROK Master – William Isaias
ROK Shifter – Marijn Kremers
ROK Shifter Master – Antonio Pizzonia Jr.
ROK VLR Junior – Ernesto Rivera
ROK VLR Senior – Weston Duchak
ROK VLR Master – Alex Dal Bon

Burrell continued, “The Orlando Kart Center has continually evolved and now boasts a fully paved pit area and a viewing platform that allows spectators a view of the entire facility. Several switchback corners and two heavy braking zones provide for a ton of passing opportunities as we are expecting some of the best racing of the series this weekend.”

The staff at the Orlando Kart Center will operate practice this week until ROK Cup USA takes over the operations side on Friday for official practice, qualifying, and the first set of heat races. All Florida Winter Tour on track sessions from Thursday morning through the end of the event weekend can be viewed on the ROK Cup USA App, or at www.ROKCupUSA.com. Live Streaming from Kart Chaser will commence on their YouTube and Facebook pages Friday for qualifying and run through the event weekend.
