Continuing to build and establish their regional level programs, ROK Cup Promotions, in conjunction with ROK Cup USA, is pleased to announce ROK the Rockies in the Rocky Mountain Region. Set to begin in 2018, the Colorado and surrounding area regional series will utilize the standard ROK Cup USA rules package, Bridgestone Tires and feature all seven Vortex ROK classes.
“We have formulated a plan for certain markets that we wanted to enter and the Rocky Mountain Region was high on our priority list,” explained ROK Cup Promotions Director of Operations Garett Potter. “We have a motivated group of people in the Mountain States and are anticipating a very successful ROK the Rockies debut series in 2018.”
While full prize details are still being put together, ROK Cup Promotions can confirm that the series champion in each class will receive free entry to the 2018 ROK the RIO event in Las Vegas. Other prizes including vacation packages, tires and cold, hard cash are in the works and will be announced once confirmed.
Potter added, “While we continue to establish and build programs around the country, we need to look at the overall big picture of the program. We want to support the kart clubs of the United States with strong regional level programs and have drivers be able to move up and compete on the national stage. The Rocky Mountain Region has produced some big numbers and great drivers in the past and we believe that it is very possible to see this again. It’s important to have a healthy program in that area of the country as we look to expand. We have great partners and dealers set up and they will be an important part to help grow this market, with a solid long term plan in place people can count on us for the future.”
With the ROK the Rockies program set to kick off in May of 2018, the complete series schedule is below:
