2017 SOUTH FLORIDA ROK CUP ROUND 1 SET FOR APRIL 22-23

With the conclusion to the 2017 ROK Cup USA Florida Championship last weekend, South Florida karters will have a chance to continue “ROKKING” at the 2017 South Florida ROK Cup. The opening round weekend is set for April 22-23 at Homestead Karting in Homestead, Florida, on the grounds of the famed Homestead-Miami Speedway and is set to kick off the first of many ROK Cup USA regional programs that have been established.

The five found series will race one weekend each month at Homestead Karting in April, May, June and July. The fifth and final round will head north to the Palm Beach Karting facility in September to crown class champions in all seven ROK Cup classes.

“The South Florida ROK Cup is one of the many regions that we look to establish, as we work to build the base of karting back to where it once was,” explained Garett Potter, ROK Cup USA Director of Operations. “Champions from this particular series will be awarded free entry to the ROK Cup Final in Orlando September 15-17, 2017 where they will have the opportunity to compete to be crowned the ROK Cup USA National Champion as well as earn a ticket and travel prize package to the 2017 ROK Cup International Final.”

With champions receiving the free entry to the September event, they will also receive race tires, one driver and one mechanic pit pass. To be eligible for the series awards, drivers must compete in at least four of the five races.
