ROK Cup USA Expands in the East & West
November 27, 2023 Orlando, FL –ROK Cup USA is excited to announce the launch of ROK Pacific and ROK Atlantic programs for 2024. Each program will be two three-race series consisting of one date of the ROK Sonoma calendar and final Florida Winter Tour counting for each series. Then top points earners in each series will receive a special invite for a Pacific vs. Atlantic challenge event at ROK Vegas 2024.
ROK Atlantic will begin counting points at the March round of the 26th Florida Winter Tour at Orlando Kart Center. The second race of the ROK Atlantic tour will be April 19-21 at the world-famous Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina. The ROK Atlantic tour will conclude in July at a TBD Midwest location.
ROK Pacific will begin at Sonoma Raceway in conjunction with a TBD ROK Sonoma event. The other two rounds will be at tracks outside of Sonoma in June & September on the west coast. Both series will face-off as part of ROK Vegas at the RIO October 30-November 3, 2024 for the ultimate bragging rights between coasts ~competing for the ROK Pacific/Atlantic Cup.
“We are creating basically two ‘Super-Regional’ series that will come together in an annual showdown at ROK Vegas at the RIO,” stated ROK Cup USA Director Mike Burrell. “This country is too big for everybody to crisscross every week to race. The concept of ROK Pacific and ROK Atlantic is like the old Toyota Pacific & Toyota Atlantic series that produced so much great racing & drivers between the 1970’s and 2000’s. And we’re hoping to create a college-football type rivalry & atmosphere with the ROK Pacific/Atlantic Cup being given away at the RIO in November.” At ROK Vegas, eligible drivers from ROK Pacific & ROK Atlantic will score points based on ROK Vegas finals podiums and/or finishing positions to determine which region receives the ROK Pacific/Atlantic Cup.
